Bill Kovach and Tom Rosenstiel (2007). The Elements of Journalism: What Newspeople Should Know and the Public Should Expect. 2007. Three Rivers Press. (Amazon has it for $11.16).
This is a basic introduction to Journalism and it will guide us as we dig deeper into how computation and journalism can work together.
