Opening Keynotes

The Symposium starts at 1pm on Friday, February 22, (late enough for travelers from the Midwest and Northeast to take early a.m. flights to Atlanta). Starting the meeting will be Opening Keynote talks from Krishna Bharat, Principal Scientist at Google, and Michael Skoler, Executive Director of the Center for Innovation in Journalism at American Public Media (APM). Bharat is the creator of Google News. Skoler, formerly an award-winning NPR correspondent, created Public Insight Journalism and founded the Public Insight Network for newsrooms at APM, Minnesota Public Radio, and public radio stations across the country.
